VIDEO Of NBA Hall Of Famer: If ISIS Represents Muslins, Then The KKK Represents Christianity

Former NBA basketball player Kareem Abdul Jabbar has publicly denounced the Islamic terrorist group known as ISIS. Kareem Abdul Jabbar made a strong point when he said that “If you consider ISIS to be the representation of the religion of Islam, then you must think that the Ku Klux Klan is representing the Christian faith.”

Abdul Jabbar is an American who had converted to Islam. His words come on the heels when US President Barack Obama and his administration have been heavily criticized for refusing to call ISIS Islamic. Instead President Obama and his staff call ISIS, which stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria simply a terrorist organization.

This may seem contradictory especially when ISIS have proclaimed they wish to establish an Islamic Caliphate in Iraq and Syria and the word Islamic is in their name. While a debate continues because of the Obama’s administration aversion to label ISIS as Islamic, Kareem Abdul Jabbar has brought up an excellent point that should be heeded by people of all faiths across the world.

The former basketball player stated that ISIS has perverted the religion of Islam with its extreme radical views. It is similar to how the Ku Klux Klan perverted Christainity to spread its message of hate and terror.

He further said that “ISIS does not represent the majority of Muslims around the world.” People of all faiths, Jews, Christians and moderate Muslims need to realize that groups like ISIS are using Islam for their own selfish end. They will justify killing and destruction in the name of their god, and it is up to the good people to stand up and fight against them.
