She is Looking At Her Own Brain Scan When She Sees Something Unexplainable. Do You See It?

A unique interpretation of a brain scan by a Mexico City couple is serving as as inspiration as the wife attempts to recover from a stroke that was suffered during treatment for a double lung failure.

When shown the brain scan, Jennifer Lougee Mingramm and husband Tamaha McDonald each indicated that they could see the face of Jesus Christ within the scan. McDonald indicated that the presence of Jesus was an indication that a miracle was taking place.

Suffering from the lung problem known as alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency at the time of her 2013 stroke, Mingramm had been receiving steroid-based treatments to help avoid such possible outcomes as heart damage, emphysema and cirrhosis of the liver.

During those treatments, Mingramm suffered a serious stroke that placed her in intensive care for a week. That followed surgery in which part of her skull was removed to relieve pressure. Subsequently, she had a titanium plate and had more than 80 screws placed in her head to maintain stability in that area.

Discounting such a theory, professionals in the medical field say that such a belief is known as pareidolia. This is defined as seeing the image of Jesus in everyday items, with previous cases of this phenomenon being seen in with people who saw it in such things as toast.

Mingramm needs a double lung transplant in the United States, surgery and care that will cost $1 million. The couple has set up a fundraising page online to raise the money.
