For many people, a big part of enjoying any holiday is the different than matic foods that they get to look at and eat. St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and there are many foods that can be prepared in celebration of that day.
Because of the green theme of the day, a lot of these foods and drinks are green. The following is a cool idea for cupcakes that would be absolutely wonderful for St. Patrick’s Day, with a little surprise on the inside as well.
You can use a box cake mix if you want to make this as easy as possible. All you need to do is dye half of the mix green, and the other half of it all other colors (in separate bowls) so that you can create a small rainbow cake first. After you have made the rainbow cake, use a small round cookie cutter to cut it into small circles, and place one of the circles into each cupcake tin. Fill the rest of the cupcake tin with the green cake batter, and then bake the cupcakes as you would bake any cupcakes.
The result is a set of cupcakes that appears to be green, but when you bite into it, you will see the cool rainbow surprise on the inside. These are great for St. Patricks Day or any other day that you would like to make these types of cupcakes. Dress them up with frosting and gold coins, and enjoy them!
