VIDEO: She Dumps Red “Glue” All Over A Baking Sheet. Moments Later? YUM!

Moms (and Dads) often have difficulty finding sweet snacks that their children not only enjoy, but that are healthy for them. Many of today’s most popular snacks are loaded with processed sugars and flavoring that tastes like fruit, but lacks any real nutritional value.

One Mom came up with a clever way to make the popular fruit roll-up style snacks at home. The best part? These fruit roll ups are not only healthy, but they are incredibly simple to make and use only two ingredients. First, she starts with fresh fruit. She used a combination of strawberries, blackberries and raspberries but also recommends trying different flavors to keep it fun.

Mangoes, pineapple and oranges are also good ideas. Place all fruit in a blender and add a generous squeeze of honey, more or less depending on how tart the fruit is. Once the fruit and honey mixture is blended into a puree, pour onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread out evenly until the entire surface is covered by the fruit and honey puree.

Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 225 degrees and let it bake for about 3 hours. Let cool. The fruit and honey substance should not be sticky and should be able to be cut with a simple kitchen knife. Cut strips into pieces and roll the pieces up, keeping the parchment paper on. Violla! A kid-tested, parent approved fruit roll up.
