VIDEO: I Thought He Was All Alone, Then I Took A Second Look. WOW. SO MANY TEARS!

It’s winter. Possibly you’re feeling seasonally affected, shut-in, even claustrophobic. Or, perhaps, like Anna in, “Frozen,” the winter months have you feeling a bit frost-bitten, both physically and emotionally.

If so, fear not.

The video features Bud Caldwell making his daily pilgrimage to his wife, Betty’s bench. That’s right. Her bench. Unfortunately, for Bud, Betty’s bench, commissioned by him and decorated with a picture of his wife of nearly 56 years, is located on a Wisconsin sidewalk, regularly covered in snow in the winter.

At 82 years old Bud would have every reason to stay at home and deliver his daily news flashes to Betty, sitting comfortably by a fire. Betty would undoubtedly understand. But, Bud, romantic that he is, considers his daily pilgrimage a way of showing his love and the best part of his day.

In fact, he brings her a tribute every day in the form of a penny and a daisy, which he leaves on the bench. The two items signify the couple’s favorite songs, “Pennies From Heaven,” and “A Daisy a Day.

Love like Bud’s will not be denied. Two city workers, who noticed Bud sitting in his car, on a day that he was unable to reach his bench, vowed that the elderly gentleman would have a clear path for the rest of the winter.
