Potatoes make the world go round. Don’t let anybody tell you different. They go well with a wide variety of dishes and work as filling meals by themselves. While there are many ways to prepare mashed potatoes, this method is especially tasty, and is far more satisfying than any instant mashed potatoes. Additionally, it’s pretty dam easy.
For this recipe, you will need: four potatoes, a garlic clove, a teaspoon of olive oil, salt, pepper, a tablespoon of chives, a tablespoon of parmesan cheese and two tablespoons of the grated cheese of your choice. You can also add any herbs you wish.
Put some water on to broil, and add salt to the water for flavor. Wash the potatoes and place them in the hot water. You’ll want to leave them in the water for 15 to 20 minutes until they are nice and tender. Meanwhile, mince the garlic and mix it with olive oil in a bowl. Get a baking sheet ready by lining it with parchment paper. Once the potatoes are tender, place them on the baking sheet and crush them with a paper towel or a potato masher. Sprinkle the garlic-olive oil mixture over them and add salt, pepper and get cheesy.
Bake them for 10 to 15 minutes and take them out when they are golden brown. And add them chives. Voila – you have a meal fit for a hungry king!
