He Took Bullets to Save His Lovers Life. And Now There’s Been A Huge Updated On His Life…

A man who took heroic actions in order to save the life of his fiancee from a terrorist attack in Tunisia on June 26 continues to show signs of recovering, posting a photo of himself lying in a hospital be with the fiancee next to him.

30-year-old gas engineer Matthew James from Cardiff, Wales was with his fiancee, 26-year-old beautician Saera Wilson, from Pontypridd, Wales, were vacationing in Sousse, Tunisia, sunbathing on the beach near where they were staying at the Bellevue Hotel.

Their calm was quickly shattered when terrorists attacked a beach nearby. The tragedy ended up killing 39 people and wounding 36 others.

One of those wounded was James, who shielded James from the spray of bullets the terrorists sent in their direction. While covered in blood, James told his fiancee to leave immediately, saying his goodbyes since he was assuming he wouldn’t survive the wounds suffered to the shoulder, chest and hip. The force of the injuries was such that James suffered a heart attack and also had his pelvis shattered.

Until the carnage ended, James remained hidden in a towel cupboard. Once she came out, she returned to the beach for two hours of searching, some of which was looking under white sheets to see if her fiancee was underneath. She was then informed that he had been taken to a hospital for surgery to try and save his life.

The couple, who have two children who were back in Wales, plan to marry in 2017.
