Police officers are usually who we call if we are in trouble. Although police officers should only be called if there is a true emergency, officers are willing to respond to non-emergencies. Cincinnati officers were on duty one day and were shocked to see a goose outside their car door. The goose was frantically tapping the car door. The officers knew that something was wrong because geese typically do not approach humans.
They decided to get out of the car and follow the goose. The goose’s gosling was tied up in a balloon string. The officers called animal services, but they were unable to help. That is why the officers decided that they were going to take matters into their own hands.
The officers names are James Givens and Cecilia Charron. Cecilia untied the gosling from the balloon string while James recorded. The goose frantically watched as the gosling was rescued. The gosling was reunited with its mother and siblings after it was rescued.
All of the geese went back into the water after the gosling was rescued. This story has become very popular on social media. The story has been shared thousands of times on Facebook and been liked 6.4 million times.
