Dogs can sometimes sense when their owners have had a bad day. One woman has a meltdown, and her dog does something that is so sweet that it will tug at the hearts of those who love dogs as well as those who might not enjoy being around them.
This is a woman who has Asperger’s. She has trained her dog to become aware of some of the signs to look for if there was something medically wrong.
The dog has also been trained to look for signs of depressive episodes. One day, the dog became alert, noticing that his owner was stimulated to the point that she was depressed and needed consoled. The woman truly has a best friend in her dog. She is in the bathroom where she is crying, and the dog gently approaches her.
He begins to nuzzle his nose against her hands as she is hitting herself on the chest with her hand. The dog uses his paws to help bring the woman’s hands down, calming her as she sits on the floor. He then proceeds to lick her face in order to let her know that she is alright and that he is there.
