Woman With 4 Kids Broke Down In The Pouring Rain, When An Old Man Knocks On Her Car Window

Tawny Nelson, a young single mother of four living in Florida, was having a very bad night. Nelson and her four daughters had made a quick trip to a nearby grocery store when their truck decided to break down. To make matters even worse, it was a dark rainy night, and no one was stopping to help. Just when Nelson was about to break down into tears, a kind, older gentleman came to her rescue.

In a letter that she wrote to a local radio station, Nelson said that she had asked more than twenty people for a jump but that she was completely ignored. After about two hours, Nelson was on the verge of giving up, and her children, ranging in age from 9 years to 6 weeks, were tired, hungry, and in full meltdown mode. Suddenly, an older man with a limp and walking with the help of a cane knocked on her window. The kind stranger handed them a plate of food and some drinks. He told Nelson that he had already contacted a tow truck and that his wife was on the way to take the family home.

Nelson was thankful to finally be rescued, but the man’s generosity did not stop there. He showed up at Nelson’s home the next day along with a mechanic who replaced the battery and alternator in Nelson’s truck in addition to fixing a malfunctioning window. When Nelson asked the mechanic how much she owed, she was told that the elderly gentleman had already taken care of everything.

Nelson’s rescuer took off before she was able to thank him fully. Nelson says she has been struggling recently and that the man’s act of kindness helped restore her faith in mankind. Nelson hopes that one day she will be able to pay it forward to someone else in need.
