Ian and Brittani were content with the two daughters that they had and did not plan on having any more children. When they found out that they were expecting twins, they were happy and shocked. They are expecting a girl and a boy. However, the couple’s happiness quickly turned to sadness when they found out one of the twins was not developing properly. The girl weighed two pounds, but the boy only weighed nine ounces.
The doctor also informed Ian and Brittani that their unborn son’s heart and brain was not developing properly. The couple struggled to come to terms with the fact that only one of their twins may live. However, when they were comforted when they received an ultrasound one day.
The couple named their fraternal twins Madilyn and Mason. An ultrasound showed Mason’s hand wrapped around Madilyn’s finger. He would not let his sister’s finger go. Brittani stated that it was comforting to see the twins holding onto each other because Madilyn is the only one who can actually be there for Mason. She also stated that she knows that if Mason passes, then he will not be alone.
Pictures from the twins’ ultrasound have gone viral. Ian and Brittani are asking for people to pray for their unborn twins.
