Wish The World’s Fittest Grandma Body-Builder A Happy 80th Birthday!!!

What would you say if you saw an 80-year-old Grandmother working out next to you at the gym? Ernestine Shepherd wakes up at 2:30 AM to 10 egg whites, 16oz glass of water, and a handful of walnuts every day!

At age 56, Shepherd began her bodybuilding journey. Later, Ernestine Shepherd made a promise to her sister, keep working out no matter how old you get. When her sister died due to a brain aneurysm, she lost her motivation. However, the memory of her sister drove her to continue her journey.

The revitalization of her journey brought forth many accomplishments no one believed possible. Shepherd has been awarded two bodybuilding awards and is in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Ernestine prides herself on her discipline and determination. She explains the secret to her success: old-fashioned hard work and the will to succeed. Her routine consists of intense cardio (about 130 kilometers per week), and lifting every day. On top of this, she teaches an aerobics class that fills up almost every time she hosts it.

The bodybuilder explains the many benefits she has reaped since beginning her lifting journey. Prior to her journey, she followed a pill regimen in order to prevent her from a myriad of disease. As she progressed, the number of pills prescribed by her doctor decreased. She proudly attributes her diet and exercise to the banishment of her depression and high blood pressure.

Her strict diet was constructed by a former Mr. universe who trains her at the gym.
