Why Is She Painting Her Windows With CORNSTARCH? Because Now It’s Both Private AND Sunny!

Recently, blogger Anna Belvita shared her secret on how to get sunlight through your windows while still maintaining your privacy. The best part is, if you are renting, the covering can be removed easily and leave no traces behind!

Anna’s secret is to use a paste that is made from cornstarch and apply it to the windows as an adhesive, then stick fabric to it. She mixes together two tablespoons of water along with two tablespoons of cornstarch.

She then pours the mixture into a cup and a half of boiling water and stirs it all together. Once its all stirred, Anna begins to paint the mixture onto the windows then places a pre-cut square of her fabric over the window pane. She adds a second coat of the mixture to ensure that the fabric is going to adhere to the window.

Anna recommends using a fabric like a light colored lace will still allow light to flow in from the windows and sunlight to flood the room. The lace fabric also was easy to use when covering the windows and did not have any air bubbles that needed to be smoothed out. The final result left her windows with a privacy cover that is easily removed when you are ready to move!
