When five high students took the stage for a talent show, no one knew exactly what to expect. Jordan, Matt, Dylan, Elias, and Niles, all students at Lake Howell High School, participated in the school’s talent show, delivering an unforgettable stage performance.
The boys each approached the stage, each taking place behind a snare drum. More curiously, each boy was dressed in a black t-shirt, tube socks, and different colored kilts. The five boys are all members of the “Hot Scots Drum Line.”
Together, the members of this unique performance troupe put on a show that combined the high school tradition of a drum line with a dance act that was unexpected. The most amazing part of the performance is the knowledge that the group put together the jaw-dropping performance in under a week!
A video of the performance surfaced on YouTube, where viewers were able to share their delight.
“The drums and sticks seem to be playing themselves,” wrote one commentator. “Is there some Zen here?”
Other viewers left comments commending the boys on their talented performance. Other commentators were not as gracious, bashing on the “improper representation of the Scottish heritage” based upon how the boys were wearing the kilts.
