When He Bragged He Lived In A Cave I Didn’t Really Care. Then He Gave Us A Tour. So Jealous!

For most people, the plan to invest in a home doesn’t include buying a cave. But for Angelo Mastropietro, his dream home is carved in rock. For those expecting a crude hole, peeking through the cave’s windows would give a shocking surprise.

Mastropietro is a 38 year old former businessman who happens to live in a cave. After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Mastropietro slowed down and bought some property he had happened upon in the late 90s.

He discovered the cave while riding his bike in the UKs Wyre Forest and bought it over ten years later when he heard it was available. The modern caveman invested over $2 million dollars to convert the cave into his dream home. The result is a luxurious dwelling anyone would be happy to call home that took over 1000 labor hours and required excavating over 70 tons of dirt and rock.

Far from being a little hovel, Mastropietro equipped his cave house with heated floors, Wi-Fi, a modern kitchen, running water and even outdoor patios. The home features multiple windows and glass doors and is further lighted by candles placed into shelves carved into the white walls, giving the home a warm feeling. Mastropietro did most of the work himself, but considers his dream home well worth the hard work and effort.
