After a bad breakup Byron Taylor lost everything. At 23-years-old, he lost his loving partner, his job, his life savings, and his dogs. The losses were so severe that he thought about taking his life. He wrote a letter to his mom while a noose waited for him upstairs, along with his bull mastiff.
When Taylor went upstairs to end it all, he found his dog, Geo, had ripped the noose down and wouldn’t let him have it. Geo even growled and showed his teeth at each attempt Taylor had to take it back.
The behavior was odd for Geo. Taylor says that sixth sense is what saved his life that day, since he made no attempts to create a new noose to take his life.
With that thankfulness towards his dog, Taylor is attempting to return the favor. Geo was diagnosed with a tumor that’s enlarging very quickly. Taylor set up a GoFundMe page in the hopes that he could save Geo’s life and have the tumor removed. Out of the 3,500 pounds he’s asking for, he’s received 2,600 pounds, all given by 156 people in a little more than two weeks. It’s very possible that with the help of strangers, he could help Geo live as well.
