Watch How He Restores A Old Headlight To Looking Brand New With Just Toothpaste And A Toothbrush!

With age, car headlights tend to turn an odd shade of yellow. This can happen inside or outside of your headlight covering. If the yellowing is on the outside, you can use some toothpaste to clear it right up! If your headlight’s surface feels coarse or pitted, then you’ll be able to use this household remedy.

If not, the process is internal. Once you’ve discovered whether your yellowing is internal or external, then grab your toothpaste. You must use a paste and not a gel, and preferably one with baking soda. If your toothpaste doesn’t have baking soda, just mix some in with it and it’ll work.

Once your toothpaste (or toothpaste mixture) is ready for application, place a healthy amount on your headlight and rub it in. Cover every inch, using a toothbrush or other small brush if necessary to get into any small areas and scrub the headlight thoroughly.

Once you’re done with the toothpaste, use warm water and a paper towel to clean the toothpaste from the headlight. Your headlights will come out clearer than they were before! If you have an older vehicle, more than one application of toothpaste may be necessary to clear the yellowing.
