VIDEO: This Veteran Nurse Just Had The Most Bone Chilling Patient. I’m Still Shaking

While posing for a picture, John Smith fell through the ice of Lake Saint Louise. He was rushed to the ER of a local Missouri hospital. Since he was trapped under the ice for fifteen minutes, the chances of his survival were bleak.

Paramedics and doctors tried everything to resuscitate the fifteen year old boy, but they had no success. After a half hour of attempting to save him, they thought it would be best to tell his mother the bad news. They went to her in the waiting room, and brought her in to see her son. When the boy’s mother, Joyce Smith, saw her son her first reaction was to pray. She prayed and then a miracle happened.

The young boy’s heart started beating again! John Smith was alive, and he came back to conscious body and mind. The doctors, nurses and everybody in the room stood in shock. Within 48 hours of resuscitation, the boy was able to answer questions and talked like he normally did. He seemed completely back to normal apart from a cough and the need for physical therapy in his hands.

This wonderful story sounds like a true miracle. The boy’s mother could have stood in fear, or she could have been overwhelmed with sadness for her situation. Instead she thought about him and hoped that he would rejoin her. John has a lot to be thankful for. He is thankful for his life, his parents and the heroic acts of rescue workers.
