A pregnant lady and her son, who have been panhandling at various plazas around San Diego, were seen leaving in a Mercedes Benz after a day of receiving money from the kind people who passed by them. One eye witness had noticed the lady and her son were at the same plaza every weekend, along with her husband.
When the eye witness saw the panhandling family get into their Mercedes Benz, count their money, and start laughing, she decided to follow them and take pictures. The family pulled into another plaza and pulled out their cardboard sign to prey on the compassionate people again that day. When the pregnant mother saw the eye witness taking pictures, she picked up a large boulder, threw it at the woman, and high-tailed it through the parking lot with child in tow and drove off.
Pictures revealed the license plate number, and ABC 10 News in San Diego found the beggars’ home address. The 10 News Team actually visited the address and tried to talk with the couple, but after a couple of attempts, just ended up leaving a business card.
A woman called the number on the card saying she had just moved into the apartment after a family had just moved out. The news team wants people to see the couple’s picture and not give them money if seen somewhere else.
