VIDEO: This Dog Was On The Verge Of Death But It Still Managed To Do Something Amazing

Dogs are by far the most affectionate animals in the entire world. Millions of people across the world own a four legged pooch that offers them love, attention and friendship. A therapy dog that is named Baxter made a huge impact in his 19 year life. He was able to help many people over the years to get better.

Petting a dog can be very therapeutic especially for the elderly. When people are older and are sick, they often lose hope. Dogs are very gentle creatures and they often are taken to hospitals and clinics to visit with patients to help them. A woman named Melissa Joseph owned Baxter for his entire life. She would take him to work with patients. She stated that when she would take him to visit with people that they would feel at ease and that their pain would subside so that they could just focus on trying to enjoy their time.

Even when Baxter lost his ability to walk, he would still continue on with his work. He would go to visit dying patients and their family members at local hospice care facilities.

In his almost two decade life, he touched the lives of hundreds of people. His work will be remembered by people that he was around. Many dogs can act as therapy dogs. The benefits to this type of work are endless. Baxter’s story shows that even a dog can provide medical benefits to those that are hurting.
