When payday is a few days away and you have to wait to get groceries, turning to your pantry for meal options is the only way to go.
A couple of things most people always on hand in their kitchen are Bisquick mix and an onion. Mix those two bad boys together and you have some crispy, top-notch onion rings. Drizzle with your favorite dipping sauce and maybe throw a handful of chopped scallions on top (if you don’t have any on hand, don’t sweat it). These onion rings are a great appetizer or snack for a family or just one hungry person.
For a quick and easy dessert you need that handy dandy box of Bisquick again and some apples. Fry up some mini funnel cakes at home and get creative with your toppings. Sauteed apples with cinnamon layered on each cake and finished with a sprinkled of powdered sugar make for a decadent end of the day distraction.
