They both were rescued from bad situations. Ruggles is a shih-tzu puppy who was rescued from a puppy mill. Chompers was found underneath a porch when she was only two days old. Chompers and Ruggles were put in the same shelter, and they quickly became friends.
Ruggles has been adopted into a loving family. His kitty friend Chompers has also been adopted. There is a one minute video online that shows Ruggles and Chompers playing together.
