When three young Ukrainian girls took the floor at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships in Wrocław, Poland, most people were probably just expecting a standard, run-of-the-mill gymnastics routine. However, their routine is absolutely astonishing.
In the comments section of the YouTube video of their routine – which is quickly going viral – people are absolutely amazed by what these girls, who seem so tiny, are capable of doing. Even the commenter in the video seems absolutely dumbfounded by their remarkable skill.
At one point, one of the gymnasts executes a move while balanced entirely on her teammate’s outstretched leg. One YouTube commenter remarked that she thought the girl’s leg “would snap in half.” Of course, it doesn’t, and the team pulls off the move perfectly.
In a shocking twist, the girls somehow placed a lowly third, behind Russia and England. One can only imagine how insanely competitive a competition like this must be, but it’s still shocking to think that they didn’t take home first place.
