A group of animal rescuers in Dallas tried very hard to bring in a stray dog. However, every time that they brought him in, he managed to escape. On one particular day, he seemed as though he was inviting the people to follow him. He was barking very loudly, which is something that he usually did not do. The rescuers followed the dog, and he lead them deep into the ones. The rescuers discovered a mother dog and 10 puppies.
The rescuers named the dog Hero. They do not know whether Hero was the father of the puppies, or he was just trying to protect them.
What is interesting about father dog is that they usually show indifference towards puppies. They usually will not attack the puppies, but they lack paternal instincts. Mother dogs also will not allow male dogs around the puppies even if the dog happens to be the puppies’ father. However, this story shows that Hero was very concerned about the mother dog and her puppies.
Hero, the mother dog and the puppies have all been rescued. Hero was reportedly abandoned by his family. However, it is hard to imagine that anyone would abandon such an amazing dog. Hero’s new family will be very lucky to have him.
