If you are a fan of do it yourself projects, you will love this one. You can easily make a pencil case with just one piece of upholstery fabric and a zipper. You will need a piece of upholstery fabric, with any pattern you would like, that is 15 inches wide and 10 inches long.
Set it upside down on a hard surface, so that the side without the pattern is facing you. Then, fold in the left and right of the piece of fabric by about half an inch.
Place the zipper right side up in the center, and put fabric glue on the sides of the zipper. Then, simply glue the folded sides to the zipper, and wait at least one hour. It will take much longer for the glue to completely dry, but as long as you are careful, you can do the next step within an hour.
After this time has passed, carefully unzip the zipper and turn everything inside out. On the side that does not contain the pattern, glue together the sides, so that you have a closed bag. Once the glue is dried, you can turn the bag inside out again, so that it is turned the right way.
Now, you have a cool pencil case that you made yourself. You have so much freedom in this project, because you can choose the pattern of the fabric, and you can even make them into different sizes once you get the hang of it.
