Little Johanna, just 6 years old, successfully steals the limelight, shaking her tutu, swinging her arms, tapping her toes, and giving the moves all shes got between her two dance mates.
This video, posted on June 7th to Facebook by her mother Elissa, features Johanna channeling her inner Aretha Franklin at her dance recital in Knightdale, NC. The second she swings around to the lyrics you can see the animated and completely in-character look wash over her face. Not only does she have the moves memorized to a tee, she’s also perfectly in step to the beat. This kid’s not messing around!
It’s quite apparent she loves every second of dancing on stage, so much so that Good Morning America and CBS’s The Insider have already called her in to experience the performance first hand!
