Like most parents, Gareth and Charlene Hood are used to their toddler, little Lexi Hood, babbling and playing. And like most parents, the Hoods are used to seeing Lexi take a tumble now and again. What Gareth and Charlene caught on video, however, continues to leave the world guessing.
The video posted online shows little Lexi standing in the family living room. Her feet are rooted firmly on the floor when Lexi suddenly falls backward with force. A review of the video seems to show the girl being pushed backward off of her feet by an unseen force. To make the incident even more intriguing, Lexi then said, “naughty boy.”
Only Lexi and her parents were present at the time. Gareth and Charlene were shocked when reviewing the film footage. The shock has since given way to a curiosity.
“Whenever we hear the floor creak now, we go to check it out,” Gareth said. “I can’t even walk by an empty room without taking a look in it now.”
News of the incident was originally reported to a newspaper who posted the story and accompanying video online. Most website commentators believe that Lexi was pushed or pulled by a force unseen.
One commentator believes that the tyke was pushed because of the staggering fall backward that Lexi took. Another commentator expressed the eerie feeling she received when she realized that the cartoon character, playing on the television just behind the tot, is waving hello just a moment before Lexi falls. Other commentators believe that the girl was pulled from behind while others believe that the toddler simply fell.
