There are people who will say that violence is never the answer. However, sometimes violent act are more understandable in some cases than in others.
Jason Browning trusted his neighbor, Raymond Frolander, to take care of his 11 year old son while he went out to get some food. He was horrified to come back and find the babysitter raping his son. Understandably furious, he pulled the babysitter off of his son and then beat him unconscious.
It was actually his son who stopped Jason from killing the babysitter right then and there. Frolander had been abusing the boy for 3 years, starting when he was only 8 years old. It was only now that he was caught. Sadly, many children are afraid to report abuse of this nature and just see no choice but to keep suffering.
It is important that you know that there are ways to protect a child who is going through this kind of a situation. The Rape Abuse and Incest National Network tells parents that they should to talk with their children about safety in these matters and let them know that they should not ever feel uncomfortable about reporting an incident like this one. Parents should also be aware of the signs of abuse as shown in their children, so that they can know to take action when a child is too afraid to speak up.
Hopefully Browning and his son can get the help they need to recover from this horrifying situation.
