If you like Legos and gummy candy, you should definitely try out this recipe. You can mix Jell-O and gelatin to create your own Lego gummies.
You will need a box of Jell-O, corn syrup, and two packets of unflavored gelatin. Pour 1/2 cup of cold water into a container, and stir in 1/4 cup of corn syrup until it is completely dissolved. Pour the mixture into a pot, and then add in the gelatin and Jell-O. It will take a couple of minutes for the gelatin to mix into the water.
Set your stove on medium-low for about five to ten minutes, stirring constantly. Once the mixture is liquefied, you can pour them into the molds of your choice. You can actually find Lego molds in many different crafts stores.
Give them a few hours to cool, and then you will have a set of candies that are impressive to look at and delicious to eat as well. You can also use rectangular molds, and put a Lego sheet on top, so that your candies are shaped like Legos. You can actually capture an amazing amount of detail in these candies when you are molding them, and if it is done just right, you can even stack them on top of one another and make buildings, just as you could with real Legos.
This is a fun project and definitely worth a try. Adults and kids alike are sure to love these candies, though for different reasons.
