VIDEO: Drowning Elderly Couple Caught On Film When Suddenly THIS Happens

On July 24, 2015, 17-year-old Robbe Haems and 18-year-old Bjorn Cuvelier were met with a life or death situation outside Brussels, Belgium when they spotted the car of an elderly couple sinking into a lake. Without hesitated, these two boys grabbed a dinghy and went over to save them.

In an interview later, Robbe noted that the two individuals in the car were surprisingly quiet, but the two boys didn’t hesitate to help them out of the car. The woman in the passenger’s seat was easily through the window. The male in the driver’s seat was a different story. He was disabled, meaning that the two teenagers had to work harder to get him out of the car without his own aide. They managed to get the driver’s side door open and pull him out that way, saving them both from travesty.

Many people are calling the young men heroes for their quick reaction to the life threatening situation. They even made it into the local newspaper, which Robbe openly shared on his personal Facebook page. He said that being labeled as a hero is certainly special, but he could have easily watched someone die and that would have broken him for sure.

Luckily he doesn’t have to face that hardship because he and his friend were able to save the lives of the elderly people who needed them the most.
