Hope For Paws, a non-profit organization that rescues abandoned pets such as cat and dogs received a disturbing call. A local real estate agent in California called Hope For Paws about a dog that had been abandoned by his family after they sold their home and moved out.
What were the owners of the home and the dog thinking when they left their dog behind? The real estate agent had been feeding the poor dog for weeks, keeping it alive. Eventually the real estate agent contacted Hope For Paws who quickly took action to rescue the dog and try and find a home for the abandoned dog.
Two volunteer rescuers responded to the call of the real estate agent. One of them even managed to capture the rescue of the abandoned pooch on video. As the volunteers entered the property they quickly located the dog that was left behind by his owners in a corner by the garage.
The dog barked at the rescuers and ran away as they approached. The rescuers followed the dog who fled to a narrow passage in between two concrete walls. The dog got stuck as the passage between the walls was a dead end. The rescuers managed to capture the dog without a struggle. One of he rescuers managed to secure a “lucky leash” around the female dog and gave her treats.
Hope for Paws brought the abandoned dog who was ridden with fleas to a vet for treatment. Cleaned, fed and free of fleas the small adorable white dog was put up for adoption. The dog, a girl was named Madison by the rescuers who rescued her. This story has a happy end. She has been adopted and is doing very well with her new family.
