Trump Refuses To Awknowledge That Bush and Cheney Deleted 22 Million Emails

Even though Donald Trump continuously talks about Clinton deleting emails, he hasn’t been too keen to mention the 2007 revelation that the White House had also “lost” millions of email messages during the Bush Administration. The emails were related to investigations into the firing of eight U.S. Attorneys for partisan reasons and add up to more than 22 million messages.

The Republican National Committee has used private email accounts that were only meant to be used for political campaigning. However, a congressional investigation has revealed that private email addresses have been used to conduct government business, which violates ethics laws. Media reports show that 22 White House staffers have used their RNC email accounts to conduct government business.

Federal law requires the White House to keep all records, including any emails sent and received, which involve decision-making and discussions related to official government business. However, millions of emails have disappeared. Researchers have also uncovered suspicious patterns related to periods of time for which emails from the Vice President’s office of Dick Cheney were unavailable. This includes days when discussions related to the invasion of Iraq were taking place at the White House, which the Vice President participated in.

When the story of missing White House emails was revealed, many media outlets, such as Fox News Sunday, didn’t mention the topic at all. Despite showing great concern about how Hillary Clinton handled her email communications while serving as Secretary of State, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had nothing to say about the missing emails from the Bush Administration either.

Even White House Spokeswoman Dana Perino said that she “wouldn’t rule out” that 5 million emails may have been lost. Further research has shown that the number of emails in question was actually a lot higher and over 22 million have gone missing.
