It is official: Barack Obama directly backs Hillary Clinton, and now is traveling with her to show his support. A recent trip, where Obama and Clinton flew to a campaign rally using Air Force One has enraged Donald Trump.
In a Twitter post, he rightfully accused the President of using taxpayers money to fund Clinton’s campaign. “Taxpayers are paying a fortune for the use of Air Force One on the campaign trail by President Obama and Crooked Hillary. A total disgrace!” goes the Twitter message.
In response, the White House stated that they follow all the rules and the costs are paid by the appropriate political committee. However, it wasn’t stated exactly which committee and which costs are paid. Is it only fuel? Fuel plus tear and wear of the aircraft? Anything else?
Meanwhile, Keith Olbermann, a pro-Clinton commentator replied stating that Obama can do it because he’s the President.
While the two camps clash, there are two themes. Clinton says that Trump isn’t fit for the office, while Trump says she’s a crook. As Clinton accuses her opponent of not disclosing income tax returns, he in return points put that the Clinton Foundation accepted millions from crooked regimes of Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, and others.
Surely, as the campaign unfolds, it’s going to get nastier.
