Trump Accuses Obama of Wiretapping Him – Obama Advisor’s Response is on Point

In another public meltdown on Twitter, Donald Trump accused his predecessor of wiretapping his residences. The current administration has been treading in controversy and this story is just a new chapter in the never-ending saga of Trump scandal.

In his lunatic series of tweets, Trump accused former President Barack Obama of tapping phone lines at Trump Tower. He also hinted at finding an attorney to argue his case in court. Of cpurse, the accusations are baseless and point to proliferating paranoia on Trump’s part. Trump claims that the phone tapping took place during the election process.

In response to the President’s accusatory tweets, Ben Rhodes, a former policy advisor for the Obama administration called President Trump a “tyrant,” saying that only a liar would make such an argument in a courtroom. One of Rhodes’ tweets said

“No President can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you.”

This explosive wiretapping accusation is not the first baseless conspiracy theory that President Trump has embraced in regards to former President Obama. Trump was also one of the originators of the “birther” conspiracy theory, in which Obama was accused of being born in another country, thus making him ineligible for the presidency.
