Tragedy Strikes ‘The Little Rascals’ As Beloved Cast Member Dies. R.I.P

There was only one man left among the cast members from “The Little Rascals”. His name was Dickie Moore. Recently, he passed away at the age of 89. His death was only a few days before he would have celebrated turning 90. Moore dealt with a long battle of dementia.

Moore’s career began when he was a year old. He was a child seen in several movies and television shows. One off his known acts was sharing a kiss with Shirley Temple. He was also in eight of the “Our Gang” films. While in the films, he would put out fires with his best friend, Stymie. In 1933, Moore played the title character in the movie “Oliver Twist”. When Moore retired from television, he started a profitable public relations firm.

His wife, Jane Powell, survives. While he was on television, he brought laughter into the homes of those who watched “The Little Rascals”. He performed quite a few skits on the show, and he was one of the quiet children until he found mischief.

Moore had been in an assisted living environment, but he was transported to a Hospice facility in Connecticut shortly before he died. There are no clear reports as to the exact area where he passed away. His antics on the gang of Little Rascals will never be forgotten.
