Time Magazine Has Some Very Bad News For Rush Limbaugh…

According to Time Magazine, Rush Limbaugh is losing sponsors, market ratings and radio stations. Social media campaigns have become very influential in gaining in the fight against him. Groups such as StopRush, BoycotRush and FlushRush are supported by other news organizations like Media Matters, Politico, UniteWomen.org and Liberals Unite. For many years Limbaugh was able to stage what these news organizations call his hate radio, but now they claim that the internet has been able to change the news radio industry.

You don’t even have to listen to Rush anymore, because his every word is archived and examined. His words now go far beyond his listeners. They’re easily reached by a multitude of social media campaigns. Those campaigns can slowly mushroom and proliferate while increasing pressure on advertisers and network managers.

The people that are protesting Limbaugh acknowledge his right to free speech, but they take exception to what they characterize as his hate speech against liberal groups. What they’re trying to do is get Limbaugh off of the public airwaves while recognizing that he has every right to host his show privately on an internet-based subscription platform. Protesters say they’re being proactive in fighting extremism.

They tell that phone calls and letter writing to the stations were virtually ignored. With the social media groups, they finally feel as if their collective voice is being heard.
