Three cops in Woodbridge, Virginia were shot on February 27, 2016 after they responded to a domestic call. Jesse Hempen, David McKeown and Ashley Guindon were the officers who were shot.

Jesse has worked as a police officer for eight years. David has worked as a police officer for 10 years. Both of these officers made a complete recovery. Ashley was 28-years-old and had just started her career. Unfortunately, she was killed her first night on the job.

A young boy called the Prince William County Police the day after the officers were shot. The boy did not have an actual emergency, but he had a special message to share with the police officer. He told the police department that cops are good people and save people’s lives no matter what. He also told the officers that he appreciates what they do.

The boy’s heartwarming message was recorded, and the video was uploaded to the Internet. It has gone viral. The video has received over 11,984 views since it was first posted. The Prince William County Police has stated that they receive over 185,000 calls per year. However, this is one phone call that they will never forget.
