Three years ago, Jared saw a dog that was chained up in a yard. It was a very hot day in Phoenix. When Jared walked by the yard, the dog would snarl and bark. Jared decided that he was going to do something different one day. He decided to sit by the fence and talk to the dog. He told the dog that everything was going to be okay.
A few minutes later, the dog came out and walked towards the man. Jared started visiting the dog everyday. He also gave the dog treats. One day, the dog’s owner came out the house. Jared told the owner that the dog was in need of medical attention. The dog’s owner laughed and told Jared that the dog had been tied up for the past 10 to 15 years. She also said the dog was aggressive.
Jared told the dog’s owner that he was not leaving without the dog. He knew that he could not adopt the dog, but he did not want to leave the dog there. He eventually convinced the owner to give him the dog. The dog’s owner reiterated that the dog was aggressive, but Jared told her that it would be okay.
Jared took the dog to the veterinarian. The dog’s collar had been on his neck so long that the veterinarian had to cut it off. The veterinarian also gave the dog a bath. Jared took the dog home temporarily. The dog was eventually adopted by a loving family.
