A teenager girl posted a series of exchanges she had with her dad when she asked him to pick up some pads for her at the grocery store. The result was a hilarious back-and-forth that went viral.
First, Tia’s dad needed to know where in the store he would find them, so she sent him to the right spot. Next, he wondered what kind he should get. However, when she asked for Always brand, that only confused him further. He wanted to know what she meant by Always, and she had to explain to him that was what they were called.
He was shocked at the price as well and even more so when he realized that that knowing the brand didn’t narrow it down very much. He started to get nervous and think that people in the aisle were looking at him strangely, and Tia had to tell him to calm down.
She asked for the nighttime ones with wings that were scented. That panicked him as well. How, he wanted to know, did he know if they were scented? Would he have to smell them? And what were wings?
Tia talked him through it patiently. He didn’t have to smell them, she reassured him. It would say so on the package. Then Tia’s dad tried to take the incentive and asked her if she needed cream. Confused, Tia asked why, and her father said because he thought that was what women needed at such times.
That was enough for Tia. She asked him to come home quickly, and he promised to bring chocolate. Afterward, Tia posted the whole thing on Facebook where she got thousands of likes and comments.
