Many people wonder what to do with old black and white photographs. These pictures are often stored in old shoeboxes and forgotten! Sometimes, people try to place them in picture frames to hang on the wall. There are also plenty of people who grow frustrated with their old photographs and give up. They might donate them to an antique shop and hope that someone else will get some enjoyment out of them. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be this way! There is a creative project going around the internet showing how you can display any black and white photograph in a mason jar.
The process is wonderfully simple! You will need some mason jars with lids, vegetable oil, dried flowers, and a black and white photograph. First, fill up the mason jar almost to the top with the vegetable oil. Next, add some of the dried flowers to make an attractive arrangement inside of the jar. You then need to bend the black and white photo slightly to allow it to slide into the jar. If you are concerned about the oil harming the photo, don’t worry! Simply screw the mason jar lid on tightly and step back. You will see your black and white photo magnified and beautifully displayed with the dried flowers. That’s all you have to do!
