Many of us played with building blocks as a child. But these fifteen people used something bigger than building blocks to create these works of art. They took piles and piles of logs normally used for firewood and let their imagination run wild.
With some creative cutting, these artists put together a wooden mural of an owl with its wings spread wide. There is even a moon that appears to be glowing in the background. Another spectacular work of wood art is log piles that are arranged in the shape of a sphere.
More creativity was put into winding path of logs that grow into a tall wooden spiral. In one case, the artists set a pair of wheels into a log mural to give it the look of a wagon. Some of the log art was done to resemble animals, including a large fish and a what looks like a bear, with paint used to add claws and a tongue.
It probably comes as no surprise, but the artists also used their large scale building blocks to craft artistic looking log cabins, and a series of huts shaped like giant acorns. But perhaps the most impressive piece of log art was a detailed and colorful likeness of the King and Queen of Norway.
