There are pros and cons to having a doggie door in your home. One good thing is that you do not have to be at home or be free to let your dog out, as your dog can come and go as he or she pleases.
However, if you have a dog that is inclined to run away often, a doggie door may not be such a good idea. Additionally, a doggie door can allow visitors into your home that you do not want there. This is the case in this video. Even though you might not think that deer would be able to get into a home through a doggie door, they apparently were able to do so with this home.
This man’s reaction to finding a deer in his home is quite hilarious. It becomes even funnier when another deer comes through the doggie door while the camera is rolling. He reacts using some profane language, although he does not seem genuinely upset at seeing them there. He does say that they are not supposed to be there. The deer are just curious and apparently wanting to see what the home has to offer them.
This video may change your opinion on doggie doors. You may want to remove yours in order to prevent this from happening in your home. Alternatively, you may want to keep your doggie door (or install one if you do not have one already) to potentially bring some spontaneous excitement into your home.
