It can be difficult to leave an abusive relationship. One of the many challenges that abuse victims face is having to pack up and move to another place. Moving can be a financial burden, which is why many people feel like they do not choose to continue living in the same house as their tormentor.
There is a moving company based out of California committed to making it easier for people to get out of exactly such abusive situations. The company is distinctively named “Meathead Movers”. Created in 1997 by a group of college students the company has recently partnered with Good Shepherd, which is a non-profit organization that helps people who have been victim to domestic violence. Meathead Movers working alongside Good Shepherd are helping people move for no-cost.
The moving company is comprised of young men, whose motto is, “Real men do not hit women, they help people who are in need.” Which, is a giant middle finger at the abusing party when they. Well done, gentlemen. Well done.
Many people employed by the company are familiar with someone who has been a victim of domestic violence. They help up to four people move in per week, so they certainly have their work cut out for them. But there seems no better men for the job.
