A set of 8 hedgehogs were frightened when their mother died. They depended on their mother for protection and nourishment. Someone heard the cries of the babies and was kind enough to rescue them, giving them a chance at life instead of being in the wild on their own.
The babies hadn’t had a decent meal since the mother died. The person who rescued them made sure that they were cared for and that they had a meal that was delicious and healthy. They will be protected from predators that might want to harm them.
It’s not the same as being cared for by a mother hedgehog, but it will give the babies a fighting chance. A video of the babies is circulating online. It shows all 8 of the hedgehogs sitting around a large pan of milk. They seem to be doing quite well together as they all drink the milk from the pan.
You can hear the hedgehogs gently slurping the nourishing food as they need this to grow into adults. It’s an adorable sight that doesn’t often make its way around the internet as there are many people who wouldn’t bother taking the time to give hedgehogs or other animals a place to live.
