Soldier Embraces His Daughter After A 3-Year-Absence – But His Wife Reveals Her Secret…

United States Army Staff Sgt. Joshua Withers just returned home from his two-year deployment in Germany. The first thing on his mind was to reunite with his wife Alicia and their daughters, two-year-old Selena and six-year-old Bianca. However, instead telling Bianca that her father was coming home and having the usual homecoming, the parents decided to surprise at her elementary school instead.

Unbeknownst to Sgt. Withers, his wife had a surprise for him as well. Alicia had asked her husband to wear his uniform when they picked up their daughter, saying that they had to stop in to chat with the teacher. What she was hiding was that she and the school had planned a pep rally to not only surprise Bianca but to welcome home Sgt. Withers.

During the pep rally, Bianca was asked to lead her school in the pledge of allegiance. While in the middle of reciting it, a familiar face walked in the room. She stopped everything and ran into her father’s arms. Students at her school also designed a banner to welcome the solider home.

Sgt. Withers is due to spend the next three years stationed right at home. He will be based out of Plover, WI where he will be in charge of recruiting. He will also be spending a lot of time catching up with his wife and daughters!
