Life can get extremely hard for us at times. However, being a single parent can make matters even worse. This next story about a single mother who was forced to live in a homeless shelter is extremely emotional and inspiring. A woman named Angel did her best to provide for her children, but things seemed truly impossible when she found out she was pregnant again.
Before Angel got pregnant, she was a restaurant manager. The young woman was doing very well for herself for a short period of time. Unfortunately, she was fired from the restaurant for getting pregnant. Apparently, the owner of the restaurant felt that Angel’s physical condition would cause her to perform poorly. So, Angel was left without a job, and it couldn’t have been at a worse time.
Eventually, Angel found a position at Modell’s. She worked there for many years, and the job at the sports clothing store helped her get back on her feet. However, she was forced to work hard at her new job, and she thought her efforts were unappreciated. Angel was unknowingly the star of a recent episode on the hit reality show known as “Undercover Boss.” The episode starring Angel has already gone viral on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and it’s not without reason.
Angel showed up for work just as she did every other day. However, this day, Angel would be training a new employee. But, unbeknownst to the single mother, she was actually training the CEO of the company. As the CEO was getting trained, he asked Angel what she thought of Modell’s. Angel said that she loved working at the store, but it wasn’t always that way. Angel also revealed that she was currently living in a homeless shelter with her children. Upon hearing the heartbreaking story, the CEO of Modell’s started crying.
Angel told the “employee” whom she was training to not feel bad for her. However, it was too late for that. The CEO of Modell’s eventually revealed his true identity, and Angel was shocked. The CEO then gave her a $14,000 raise, but that’s not all. He also gave Angel a check for $250,000. The entire moment was caught on video, and it was truly beautiful. The CEO of Modell’s and Angel cried together.
