It became difficult for her to breathe, and there was no choice for her but to use medicines and morphine to ease her pain just days before the wedding. Despite the fact that she was experiencing organ failure and she was in a final session of chemotherapy, there was nothing that was going to stop her from walking down the aisle to meet her groom.
Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick were married on January 15, 2005. Just five days after the wedding, Katie passed away. She was just 21 years old.
