In 2011, Taylor Hale, a freshman in high school who lived in Waukee, Iowa, was living a great life. She was happy and healthy. However, one day, after a school football game, she was in a tragic accident that changed everything. She ended up with a traumatic brain injury and was put in a medically induced coma for a week by doctors. Sadly, they ended up declaring her brain dead.
Her family was preparing to say goodbye when Jeff Stickel, a chiropractor, came into the room. He told the girl’s parents that God had called on him to heal her. They were understandably leery of what was going on, but since they figured he could do no harm, they allowed him to place a hand on her as they prayed together.

Amazingly, she was taken off life support hours later and did not die. She actually ended up taking a breath on her own, and she gradually came back to life.
The next four years were not easy for her. She struggles with memory deficits due to the accident, and she has had to work harder than most of her friends in order to get through school. However, her hard work has paid off, as she will be graduating with her class in May.
On May 15, for the first time, Taylor met the man who had saved her life. She was grateful to meet him at last and believes that he truly did work through God to save her.
