There is a sweet story that is circling around the internet. Kenyatta Lewis was shopping with her daughter one day. They walked out of a store and started to head up the sidewalk. The mother and her daughter walked past a homeless man who was sitting on the sidewalk and crying. Kenyatta’s daughter asked her mother if she saw the man crying. She also wanted to know what was wrong with him as the mother quickly took her daughter past him.
Kenyatta told her daughter that the man was probably hot or wanted something to drink. The young girl decided to walk up to the man to ask him if he was alright. She told him that it wasn’t raining and that it was a nice day outside. She also asked why he didn’t go home.
The man told the young girl that he didn’t have a home to go to but that he was alright. Kenyatta’s daughter looked sadly at the man because she knew that he was homeless.
The young girl took the few dollars that she had in her purse and told the man to get something to eat. When the girl gave the man her money, Kenyatta started talking to him. He explained that his trailer had burned down and that he had nothing left. His wife also left him. Two more people gave the man money after Kenyatta and her daughter left.
