She Is Waiting For Dad That She’s Never Met To Get Home. His Arrival Had Us All Crying

It can be hard to have a family member in the military, especially when it is a military wife who has to give birth on her own while her husband is serving.

Lieutenant Daniel Haws of the US Navy was looking forward to coming home and meeting his baby daughter for the first time. He knew that it would be a special experience, but he could not have anticipated how much so. When he saw his daughter for the first time in the arms of her mother, he was clearly thrilled to see them both. After joyously hugging and kissing his partner, he gazed upon his daughter for the first time.

They instantly took to each other. He took the little girl in his arms and hugged and kissed his daughter for the first time, and she was smiling the whole time. You hear often that babies will often cry when they are picked up by strangers, but she was instantly comfortable with her father. She may have instinctually recognized that this man was her father. They bonded immediately, and she was smiling the entire time he was holding her.

When Dan was driving home, he was greeted with a big welcome from all of the neighbors who were thanking him for his service. When they got home, he also got a big enthusiastic welcome from his dog. The family then spent quality time together, and it seems like they will be doing this quite a bit from now on.
